(M)other's Day
Dear reader,
Just like Valentine’s Day and Singles’ Day, Mother’s Day has become very commercialised. Looking at the campaigns and the offers, celebrating motherhood does not seem priority for most brands. And to be fair, commercially it is an important opportunity for Four Leaves as well.
We just want to keep it real though.
Previously I had shared my story about having 2 mothers. In that same spirit, we like to see the celebration on the 8th of May in the broader sense of the verb ‘to mother’: to treat a person with great kindness and love.
That attitude may be applicable to other people close to you, without a womb having to be involved ;-) hence the title of this newsletter.
